Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop-April

Image
Hi. I am so excited to be part of the April blog hop. If you did not come here from Glinda's blog, you can start at the beginning at Counterfeit Kit Challenge . This month we were to look at the design team members blogs for inspiration. I found this cute layout that Margi did here . I loved the banner made with circle scallops. In my layout I used two rows of the scallops. This was a good way to use up some of the scraps from my counterfeit kit. The pictures are of my grandson. Since he is small for his age we were able to put him in the little bunny outfit from the Picture People. He was not willing to sit still for his pictures, but the end result was so cute. Thank you for stopping by my blog. All of my posts this month were made with my counterfeit kit. Feel free to be a follower if you would like. The next stop on the hop is Tricia. ..

umwow Sketch Mania #40/ counterfeit kit

Image
I used this sketch from http://umwowstudio.blogspot.com to make this layout. The pictures were taken at MGM in Disney which is now called Hollywood Studios. My girls are always willing to have thier pictures taken any odd place and posing to make my pictures more fun. I used my counterfeit kit to make this layout. The ribbons in the sketch were replaced with flowers and skeleton leaves and then tied with twine. The leaves are a product that I was going to get rid of a few years ago because I had never used them, but the gold looks really nice with the gold in the pictures. I just journaled about the fun places to take pictures at Hollywood Studios. Thanks for looking.

Stuck Sketches 4-1/ Counterfeit Kit

Image
I used this great sketch from www.stucksketches.blogspot.com to make this layout. The pictures are from the Test Track ride. Another Disney layout done, Yippee!!! All of my papers, ric-rac, twistel, buttons and twine were from my counterfeit kit. I am really excited about the layouts I have finished because I participated this month. I think I have used more buttons this month than I have in the last year :) Thanks for looking.

GYSO#16/ Counterfeit Kit

Image
I used this sketch: from www.getyoursketchon.blogspot.com to make this layout. It is my husband climbing where he is not supposed to climb in Disneyworld :) I used my counterfeit kit and added a small Mickey head shaped paperclip to my title tag. The title was made with some of my really old MM rub-ons that I am happy to try to use up. The fabric came in an old kit that I got at CKC last year. The little green print on the fabric is the same color as the green paper. Thanks for looking.

Get Your Sketch On #15/ Counterfeit Kit

Image
I used this sketch GYSO#15 to make this layout. getyoursketchon.blogspot.com I just found this blog a few days ago, and I like their sketches. These pictures are from WDW. I have a ton of pictures that I haven't scrapped, and the sketches are helping me to get them done easily. I used my counterfeit kit to make the layout. I am finding it very easy to scrapbook when I have limited supplies available to use. It eliminates all of the digging through paper and time wasted. counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com The glare on the pictures is from my flash since it is late and there is no natural light. Thanks for looking.

Bird is the Word-Forever/ Counterfeit Kit

Image
This layout was made based on the Forever challenge at Bird is the Word. I used their optional sketch at http://www.birdisthewordchallenge.blogspot.com/ . I was able to use my April counterfit kit from http://www.counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/ to make this layout. I used the hospital bracelet as the memorabilia for the mini challenge. I love this picture of my grandson. It was taken when he first came home from the hospital and he and his parents still had their hospital bracelets on. I wish I had a picture like this from when my girls were born. The hospital bracelet colors didn't match the layout, but overall the bracelet looks cute. I was very happy with the twine tied with buttons. I rarely use buttons on my layouts. I have tons of them since Fred and I used to work at the button factory, but I tend to be more of a collector than a user. I am working on changing that. Thanks for looking.

Pencil Lines sketch 233 made with Counterfeit Kit

Image
I made this layout with Pencil Lines sketch 233. This is the first time I have done a layout from their blog. It was fun. I had these pictures from Typhoon Lagoons Shark Reef and they fit perfectly with the sketch. The papers, fabric, and tag all came from my April Counterfeit Kit. The close up shows the torn fabric and wrinkled paper that add a little texture to the layout. I used the Stampin' Up notebook punch on the edge of the paper. I really like that edge punch because it is not "girly". Thanks for looking.

Creative Scrappers #147

Image
Since they extended the deadline for sketch 147 at Creative Scrappers I was happy to join in this week. I had these two pictures from the Polar Bear Plunge in Wildwood that I had never done anything with and I thought they would work well with the sketch. There is something I really like about the combination of waves and snowflakes. I am happy with the way the layout turned out although my picture could have been better. It is late and the lighting in the scrapbook room isn't great after dark.

Twisted Sketch #95

Image
This layout is for sketch #95 at Twisted Sketches. The original sketch is at the bottom of the post. I used pictures from Hollywood Studios Star Tours ride. I substituted the flowers in the original sketch with stars for obvious reasons. I was so happy to be able to use a lot of old products on this layout. Using up some of my stash has been a goal of mine. I was able to use all of these old items: Making Memories Metal Mesh- I cut it into the stars (2004) Magic Scraps-Clear Accents with fasteners (2006) Junkitz Transparency Ribbonz (2007) I also used Colorbok rub-ons and Thickers

Sketchy Thursdays layout

Image
This week I did a layout for the Sketchy Thursday blog. I am happy with the way it turned out. The picture is from a few years ago. It is me and my dog Butch. We were in Cape May at the beach for the Mutt Strutt with Alexx and Zeke.

Counterfeit Kit-April

Image
This month I decided to participate in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. That blog is so good because it helps use supplies we already have. These are the pictures of the kit I made. Embellishments and papers. I had fun shopping through my stash to put my kit together. Hopefully I will get some pages done with the kit. I have wanted to join in for the last couple of months and I am happy that I finally did.
