Jan. 15th

Last night we went to the casino with our good friends, who are also our neighbors. It has been a while since we have been to the casino so it was nice. We went to the Borgata and had dinner at the little chinese place downstairs. January is half over and I haven't accomplished much from my list of things to do this month. I did manage to clean some of my scrap room. I have yet to do my dd or Justinas baby scrapbook. I hope to do a lot of scrapping this week. Monday I should be able to get a lot done because Cassie doesn't have school and I won't have to watch Ben. We are thinking about going to Disney next month. I am so used to having two weeks in Disney every June, I already miss it since we won't be there this summer :( If I can make all of the arrangements, I hope we can squeeze in a week at the beginning of February. If not, we won't be going until April.

Action-January

I have been so sick the last two days. Finally today I am feeling better. I hope to get a few pages of Chase's baby scrapbook made tonight. He should be born next week sometime, so it would be nice if I had the book done in time to take it to the hospital. Tomorrow night Fred and I are going to the casino with our friends. We will probably go out to dinner first, so I will have to be careful.

New Furniture

<> Today I went to Big Lots in search of the great BG deals. My Big Lots had very little to choose from but I did get a few things. While we were there we found a furniture set we really liked. It was a cute Simmons set. Chocolate brown corduroy sofa, loveseat, and diamond print chair in greens, brown, and tans. I loved that chair. We were all set to buy the furniture when I started to wonder about how well corduroy would hold up in a house with three dogs and a toddler. So, we decided to wait and think about it for a bit before we decide. Which is fine, because we had not intended to buy new furniture right now anyway. Sometime soon would be nice since we are still using This End Up furniture, lol. Fast forward to tonight. I am in the scrap room, the girls and Fred are in the old part of the house. They start complaining that they smell something burning and there is smoke. We thought our heater was burning. Nope. As it turns out, our water pump seized up and b

My Desktop

I have missed this desk. For the last month and a half it has been covered in stuff and unusable. Today I spent my free time cleaning in my scrap room. I am far from finished, but my desk is visible. I am not doing One Litte Word, but if I was my word would be action. I always have so many ideas and lists of things to do. I am going to take action. Every little bit is going to make a big difference and I am going to see the results. $9.99 Cricut cartridges have been calling my name for the last week. Yesterday I went to Michaels and they had at least 20 to choose from. My mind said buy twelve, but my common sense only let me buy five. I did let Fred know that I wouldn't mind having a few more for my birthday next month. Family wise: Alexx and Cassie are still working, but with reduced hours for now. Ben has been trying to run. He isn't too great at it and tends to fall. Fred has not been metal detecting too much because it is just too cold out. We had snow Saturd

Sick House

My picture for yesterday was Cassie, sick in bed. Yesterday started out well. Cassie was up and had Ben ready early so that we could head out to court. She went into his room after his morning nap to get him into his jacket and he was sick. He had throw up in his hair and needed a full change of clothes and a good scrubbing. At almost 13 months old, it was the first time he has ever had more than a bit of spit up. She got him cleaned up and we took him to my mom's house for the day. We went to court, and they called us first. It was actually much quicker than Cassie or I expected. They asked a few questions of all of us, set up child support, and health insurance which is good news. And then we came home. Cassie had a mild stomach ache, and next thing you know... sick as can be. Probably a mix of nerves and whatever bug Benj had. Now the good news is that they are both feeling great today and life is back to normal. I have a little bit of cleaning to do in my scrapbook room and th

365 Day 1 This picture of me and Fred will be the first picture in my daily photo album for this year. I really wanted to use a family picture, and we did spend the day together as a family, but I never had anyone take a picture of all of us. Oh well, there are 364 more days...I am going to try hard to take a picture every day. My plan is to have a list of ideas for pictures on days when there is really nothing going on. My December daily is coming along. I think it should be finished within the next week. I have to get a few pictures from my sister for two of the days. I will post the pictures of the finished album when it is done. Cassie and I signed up for WW three weeks ago. We are doing well (11 and 12 pounds down) and the new program seems pretty easy to follow. I figure we are beating the summer rush to look/feel better in our clothes if we start now. I am still planning on posting finished scrapbook layouts on this blog. I haven't done any scrapbooking in the last
