Crafting for Caitlyn Bingo Card 1 / Counterfeit Kit

At Crafting for Caitlyn Crystal is having a special Bingo for NSD :) Since I love challenges and games this was a great excuse to start using my Counterfeit Kit. I picked Bingo Card #1 for my layout. I used more than 3 photos, dimension, and something from before 2008.

My photos are of Benjamin when he was two months old. He was sent from the doctors office for apnea monitoring. He was supposed to be there for a couple of hours and they extended it to a 24 hour test. Then we had a big snow storm and he had to stay another day.

The dimension comes from a chipboard frame, a flocked title, and the actual monitor leads that he had in the hospital. I knew that I would do a scrapbook page about his hospital visit so we kept the leads when the doctor removed them.

The dotted paper is from the Making Memories Anthology collection 2007. I have a lot of packs of this paper because it was on clearance at Michaels for about 37 cents.

My youngest son spent the night in a hospital once, and I used him monitor wire on a layout, as well! I hope your baby is all better now! Great job on the bingo challenge, and good luck!

June Counterfeit Kit

I was so excited to see the inspiration kit for June at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Burlap and Butterflies put together the great kit in this picture. I really liked all of the pink, orange, blue and green in the original kit so I tried to stick with that. As my main paper and color reference I chose an old sheet of BG that I have had for years. I love the elephants and the colors were just right. I ended up with fifteen patterned papers. My embellishments... What can I say, I went overboard. I couldn't help it. I have all of these great Sassafras goodies from my mystery box so I needed to add some to my kit. I have a few things in here from last month, and a few things that I have had for a long time. I have some buttons, ribbon, and bling mixed in with some tab stickers, chipboard, and journal spots. I made the summer add on and I managed to only use four papers!
