This week I did a layout for the Sketchy Thursday blog. I am happy with the way it turned out. The picture is from a few years ago. It is me and my dog Butch. We were in Cape May at the beach for the Mutt Strutt with Alexx and Zeke.

This month I decided to participate in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. That blog is so good because it helps use supplies we already have. These are the pictures of the kit I made. Embellishments and papers. I had fun shopping through my stash to put my kit together. Hopefully I will get some pages done with the kit. I have wanted to join in for the last couple of months and I am happy that I finally did.
A special thank you to Crystal for the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge that I won on her blog on NSD. I love it and I intend to use it soon for cards and scrapbook pages. Every year my family gets together around Halloween for a Harvest Party. We have a hay ride, pinata, scavenger hunt, fire with marshmallows, and... a donut eating contest. Donuts are tied to a string and then are hanged from a clothesline at different levels. Without hands you have to eat your donut, which is easier said than done since if you don't bite at the right place it will fall on the ground :) I couldn't tell you who ate their whole donut, but I can assure you it is fun. I used my counterfeit main kit for the papers, thickers and journal block. I used a MS punch to cut the bat border. The orange swirl paper has been in my stash forever. I didn't use any embellishments because I couldn't find anything that looked good and I think it looks good without any.

I really liked all of the pink, orange, blue and green in the original kit so I tried to stick with that. As my main paper and color reference I chose an old sheet of BG that I have had for years. I love the elephants and the colors were just right. I ended up with fifteen patterned papers. My embellishments... What can I say, I went overboard. I couldn't help it. I have all of these great Sassafras goodies from my mystery box so I needed to add some to my kit. I have a few things in here from last month, and a few things that I have had for a long time. I have some buttons, ribbon, and bling mixed in with some tab stickers, chipboard, and journal spots. I made the summer add on and I managed to only use four papers! And only a few little embellishments. See, I have a little self control... But then it ended. I tried to pic...
